WTS v1.06 (Released 01-Nov-05)
Full Setup Package for NEW installations ONLY

Note: The following databases are INCLUDED with the v1.06 Full Setup Package. Please compare them with the updates below to see if a more recent database is now available. Note also that the PDF User's Guide is also included and will be installed in the root directory of where you choose to install WTS. 


  - Medium Wave Database:     ID# MW0226 - Dated 01-Nov-05 [WTSMWDB.TXT]
  - U.S. & Canada Area Codes: ID# AC0004 - Dated 10-Aug-03 [AC.TXT]
  - Slogans and Keywords:     ID# SL0004 - Dated 14-Jun-03 [SLOGANS.TXT]
  - U.S. Zip Codes:           ID# ZC0001 - Dated 15-Jun-03 [ZIPCODES.TXT]
  Please Note: WTS supports ONLY Western Hemisphere locations.
  That is, those with a negative UTC time offset (blue/yellow on map)
  If you reside in the Eastern Hemisphere, (i.e. Positive UTC time offset)
  WTS will run, but all time and date calculations will be incorrect.There
  are currently no plans to address this issue in the forseeable future.
Important Note:
If you have a prior version of WTS Installed, DO NOT use the full setup package else your current LOGS will be destroyed! Use the v1.06 update below instead.

Installation notes:

Download wts106_Setup.exe to a temporary directory then double-click it's filename and follow the on-screen prompts. Note: You will need your Lattitude and Longitude coordinates in decimal format to complete the installation.

IF you try to run the downloaded file and get a Corrupt File notification, CLICK HERE for help.

Once WTS has been installed and you are at the main Input Screen, Press F1 to obtain a 1-page Quick Reference guide for Queries and Commands. For more detailed information, please see the WTS User's Guide, available in the root firectory of where you installed WTS. It's a PDF file so you will need a program like Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view or print the guide.

Please note again: To successfully install WTS you will need to know your Latitude and Longitude coordinates in Decimal Degree format. If you need help obtaining them, please visit the following URL for assistance:

Since WTS relies solely on YOUR PC's system clock for time and date information, you should also verify that it is set correctly for time and date, including daylight savings where applicable.Please remember, WTS currently supports ONLY Western Hemisphere locations relative to time/date calculations.

An excellent time utility, called "Atomic Time Sync", is available for Free. Download it at:

WTS User's Guide

The WTS User's Guide is available in two formats: MS Word 2000 and Adobe PDF. If you select a "zipped" version of the guide for download, you MUST have a program like WinZip® available to unzip the files. Note: The PDF version of the User's Guide IS included in the full installation package above,

Support Files - Program and Database Updates, etc.

Program Updates: (v1.06 - Released 01-November-05)

NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED WTS TO USE THIS UPDATE!

Installation Notes: The WTS executable v1.06 upgrade (WTSRT.EXE) MUST be placed IN the ROOT folder of where you installed WTS. If you accepted the default location, that will be:

C:\Program Files\WTS\

Note also that these are compressed WinZip® files - you will need a program like WinZip® to decompress the .ZIP version. The .EXE version is "Ready To Go". Just download to your WTS folder and you're done. Answer YES when asked if you want to replace the existing file.

Note: 21-Nov-05 - This update has been corrected to display the correct version number (1.06) on the WTS Title Bar when run. Previously, it showed v1.04. Thanks Steve!

Additional Informational Files:

Databases:

The files below should be used to update your existing WTS databases if you are currently using an older version or, for those who might like to have or use the individual databases external to WTS.

Note that they are compressed WinZip® files - you will need a program like WinZip® to decompress them if you download the .ZIP versions. The .EXE versions are also compressed but they are SELF-EXTRACTING files - Just download to the appropriate folder (directory) and double-click the filename.

Installation Notes: If you are downloading any of the below files to update your WTS databases, they MUST be decompressed (unzipped) before using and placed IN the DATABASES folder of where you installed WTS. If you accepted the default location, that will be:

C:\Program Files\WTS\Databases\

If you are updating the "Master" Database (WTSMWDB.TXT), also remember that you must rebuild your "User" database (USERMWDB.TXT) by using the /BDB command before the update will be available. Please see the Release Notes for more details.
